Paperback. Condition: Very Good +. Dust Jacket Condition: None as issued. Clean, solid copy. Previous owner's purchase notation on title page, and author's inscription and signature has been blacked out with marker on the dedication page (but still can be read.) Main text is unmarked. Cover has very light wear to surface. Binding is tight and square; no creases to spine or cover. Great copy for personal use. We are unable to ship oversize books and multi-volume sets internationally.

Dr. Linner not only kept an unedited daily diary of his Navy service during WWII, but also served as photographer on two ships, the LST-6 during the Normandy invasion, and the AKA-103 at Okinawa. In his book, Normandy to Okinawa, he has combined his diary, selected photographs, and explanatory maps with a thoughtful historical overiew of principal aspects of the war gleaned from his extensive WWII bibliography. The book provides a great source of knowledge in an engaging format for young and old alike. 18 pages of B&W photos and maps.
