Add to basketCondition: Good. First edition thus. HB. Half red morocco leather, with marbled boards, gilt decorations and short title to spine, yellow page edges. H: 16cm. Each of the five plays is paginated separately. Four of the plays have engraved frontispieces by C. Heath (the first one does not: however there is no sign that it is missing). Each play has introductory remarks by Mrs Inchbald. The only date is 1819 on the title page of the last play. The plays were printed under the authority of the managers from the prompt books. Good condition overall. Covers are worn with splits to spine leather. Binding is sound. Pages are mostly clean, some handling marks and browning, particulary to titles. Some browning to endpapers, pencil mark to back, nice small bookplate and binder's label to front pastedown.
