Cloth. Condition: Very Good +. First Edition. The uncommon 1960 report (or "Inventory for Planning"), which sets out to "describe the physical setting of Harvard and its relationship to the metropolitan region of which it is a part. It attempts to outline some of the major planning problems and objectives of the University." With the asistance of Jose Luis Sert (1902-1983), the renowned Catalan architect and city planner, Harvard here attempts to present a game plan for growing and re-configuring parts of its campus. A clean, very sharp copy to boot. Solid and VG+ to Near Fine in its spiral-bound, russet cloth. Just a touch of light wear at the foot of the spine and very mild offsetting to the panels. Folio, first-rate depictions of plans, many of them in rich color, complementing the text. The Table of Contents is as follows: Section 1) The Boston Metropolitan Area; Section 2) The City of Cambridge; Section 3) The University Community; Section 4) The University; Section 6) Future Growth of the University; and Section 7) Problems for the Future.
