Original brown, black and gilt embossed floral cloth, 5 x 7 1/2 inches, floral endpapers, 312 pp, illustrated with 3 tipped-in plates (title page calls for 6, contents lists 5) . Hardcover, very good+. Corners bumped, rubbed and head and foot of spine, with a 1/4 inch nick at head. Internally, upper corner of preface creased, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, and apparently never read.
