Published by Agricultural College [State College - Starkville], MS: John Wendell Bailey, Lee Guard Company of 1920 and 1921, [circa 1970]., 1970
Seller: David Hallinan, Bookseller, Columbus, MS, U.S.A.
Undated but circa 1970 reprint of the original 1921 publication. 95 pages. Paperback: H 22.75cm x L 15.25cm. Dull purple paper covers rubbed, slight scuffing at spine ends, front cover retains reasonably bright gilt lettering. Some minor foxing but interior pages overall remain bright and clean. Binding retains some crispness. A very good+ copy. Laid-in between pages 18-19 is a March 1971 typed letter signed presenting this copy as a gift from one Greenwood, Mississippi resident to another. This circa 1970 reprint edition is easily distinguished from the scarce 1921 first edition by having dull purple paper covers (instead of royal purple) which are trimmed evenly with the text block edges thus having fractionally smaller dimensions, interior matte finish (instead of glossy) sheets, a glued "perfect" binding (instead of a stapled signature binding), and also lacks the "Tucker Printing House Jackson Miss" imprint at the foot of title page. {MS-Shelf#3}.
