Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Original price of $5.00 is still present on the front flap. DJ shows edge and corner bumps/tears and was placed in a protective sleeve several decades ago. Blue cloth boards underneath are clean and bright, even the gilt still shines. Only issues with the exterior is with the gutter of the front board where there is some black in the indentation. The rear hinge shows a crack though it's more on the pastedown and not in the hinge itself. Internal binding is excellent of the text pages as pages good and are still tight. Front end page and pastedowns have dark spots - likely caused by papers or documents that once sat and reacted with the paper. First few pages up to the preface has a brown spot near the top center but remaining pages are clean with no issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Only other issue is with the front hinge where there is a small opening that measures about 1/2 of an inch at the bottom gutter.
