Small format HC soundly bound in ribbed tan cloth with decorative pictorial title design to cover in black and gilt; titles in gilt to spine. First edition. Mild bruising to boards at corner tips; superficial fraying to cloth at spine ends. Gilt titles to spine a little dulled. Light shelf soiling to boards. Contents clean, neat and unmarked. Johnsonâs interpretive spiritual guide traces seven progressive stages of human inward and moral development, blending mystical Christianity, metaphysical philosophy, and spiritual evolution in a manner later embraced by Theosophical circles.
