Add to basketLeather. Condition: Very Good. Unamed (illustrator). The Poetical Works of James Thomson with a Biographical Notice by Samuel Johnson to front. Included are The Seasons, his last poem The Castle of Indolence, and other poems. Illustrated with an engraving to frontispiece, vignette to title and several other vignettes throughout. James Thomson (1700 - 1748) was a Scottish poet and playwright, known for his masterpiece The Seasons and the lyrics of Rule, Britannia! Amateurly rebound in quarter morocco with cloth to boards. Externally, generally smart just with minor wear to extremities, slight cocking to spine and odd marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Bright but with slight foxing to endpapers, the odd spot and handling mark to pages. Very Good. book.
