Hardcover. Condition: Good+. No Jacket. Undated reprint, hardcover in red cloth with bevel edged boards, the binding is shaken with some light cracks starting, but continues to hold throughout. The book also has bumps with very small losses and a bit of fraying to the cloth at the spine ends and corners, sunning to the spine and… head with lighter toning to the cover edges, rubbing with dulling and some light stains and smudges to the covers, and a touch of foxing to some pages. Circa early 1900's Fair (The book has been re-backed probably in the last 20-30 years with replacement cloth spine and title block of original laid on. It is an ex school library copy (Xaverian College The Xavarian College for Catholic boys was situated in the the villa of Thomas Attree in Queen's Park . The villa was designed by Charles Barry, best known for his design of the Houses of Parliament, and was completed in 1830. (mybrightonandhove). The book block is a little tight and some signatures are a little proud at fore edge , Bright Gilt design to front cover). Offered and priced as a sound reading copy. Book is overall bright and clean just a little foxing to back of some plates, not to plates themselves. One page has small piece torn from bottom right corner 2.5 cms tall with a base of 1.5 cms tapering up. Neat previous owners details on half title page dated 1914 this is the only date in the book. Edges of pages are all edges gilt, which is a little worn especially at top. Gold embossed red cloth covered boards, very lightly rubbed on edges, little faded on spine and gold also faded on spine, gold bright on front.
