Brown cloth, illustrated on front cover w/ giraffes & children in light tan & black, black lettering (minor shelfwear, minor rubbing to corners), still VG copy, from the library of Donald Alexander Skene (1898-1938), reporter for the Portland Oregonian, served as a United States Marine during World War I, and graduated Yale University in 1920. First edition of this scarce reader filled with illustrations and stories of the Ringling Brothers Circus, detailing the elephant acts, the animals, the Big Top, and more.
