Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Sprache: English, Deutsch. Zustand: Sehr gut - Einband leicht berieben mit leichten Kratzern, Inhalt minimal gebräunt, sonst sehr gut. 240 Seiten. Gewicht: 1164g. Masse: 270mm x 205mm x 24mm (H x B x T). Beschreibung: Exhibitions have been in a state of constant transformation since the 1980s. Museum shows became lifestyle events, places of work became temporary museums, and the museum itself became a place of learning where people could look, learn and do it themselves. Exhibition presentation is the decisive factor within all of this; it must simultaneously take venue, collection and object, curatorial demands and visitors into account. While the renaissance of the collection dates back to the beginnings of museums, new solutions in design and technology is leading us into a new era of exhibition presentation. This publication traces 25 years of experience by museumstechnik. It shows a natural alliance between museums and technology, presenting exemplary concepts and approaches to design while also looking at the future development of exhibitions.

This book is a comprehensive guide to the principles and practices of landscape art, a field concerned with the thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing arrangement of land and other natural elements in the man-made world. The author guides readers into observing and studying nature, laying a foundation for the design of beautiful gardens and parks. The book emphasizes that natural beauty does not always equate to picturesque or rural settings. Landscapes with a simple, subdued elegance devoid of traditional grandeur are equally worthy of the landscape artist's attention. In understanding the natural growth patterns and associations of plants and other elements, we can replicate them in our gardens and parks to create spaces that appear to have sprung from nature itself. The author brings the reader on a journey through various natural landscapes, from seaside shores to dense forests and alpine regions, showcasing the diversity of plant and animal life that thrive in these environments. These observations provide the groundwork for creating diverse and harmonious arrangements in man-made settings. The book does not neglect the fact that beauty is not wholly subjective and provides insights into the various elements that make a landscape or garden visually appealing. It emphasizes the significance of balancing the beauty of a landscape with the practical needs of its users and the importance of protecting and preserving natural environments for future generations. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
