Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First edition. 90p., photos, indices, wrps. The poet Josefa Murillo, who was born in Tlacotalpan on February 29, 1860 and died on September 1, 1898 in Tlacotalpan, on the banks of the river, and who only made one trip, to Orizaba, read, however, in the language original to Victor Hugo and the romantics. The author of the prologue, the academic Georgina Trigos tells us: "The story shows us a small and sickly woman endowed with inner strength and a keen sense of reality." Her themes were life, death, the transience of time, eternity. "Love is a reason for constant lamentation in her poetry," says the prologue writer. This is a sum of the editions of the poetic work of Josefa Murillo. One line: "And still / when I remember, I cry!".
