This book features a gift inscription by the author to Ada Johnson with Cornell?s signature. The text pages show only a single mark across the edge of the pages when they are closed but the pages themselves show no marking or damage. This is the first book designed, printed, and produced, but did not author by the late great book artist Joe D'Ambrosio. "Since this poem is written in unbroken sections, my design plan was to design a resting gap between a section with a graphic print.Thus the graphics carry the reader from section to section without relying on the words to do so. Several of the seigraphs from this book have been printed and framed in small editions (20 to 50). There are 35 leaves consisting of various Japanese, Basingwerk and Strathmore papers. The binding is Japanese stab; two colors of gray felt over clear acetate tied with black thread: the first fo copies in a plastic slipcase. The binding is creatively hinged with felt hinges. Book is protected in mylar and flawless. This work of art is signed by both the author and the artist. A very rare and beautiful collectible. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
