The author provides historical and literary context to each letter, discussing the broader significance and specific themes presented in each to elucidate the meaning and impact of Paul's writings and teachings for the history of Christianity. The letters in this volume - to the Thessalonians, Corinthians, Galatians and Romans - are particularly important as they provide insight into Paul's approach to the early Church and the development of its practices and doctrine. This edition is invaluable for any reader wishing to deepen their understanding of the origins of Christianity, the formation of religious doctrine and the interpretation of Paul's writings. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
