Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. Volume 1 signed by author on title page without inscription. Volume 1: front jacket flap creased. Both volumes: Jacket edges rubbed. 2002 Hard Cover. xvi, 186; 160 pp. Two volume set. The author has lived in the bluegrass region of New York for more than 50 years. In that time, through his work as a veterinarian, he has become familiar with the history of the farms and estates of the region. He has also had experience with the horse breeding, racing, hunting and equestrian sports of the region. Genesee Valley Volume II picks up the story where Volume I leaves off-- the end of World War I. Characters prominent in the first volume live out their lives and pass the baton to new players in succeeding generations. There were many changes in the years following World War Ii. The number of Valley residents engaged in politics decreased, and the Geneseo-Washington axis came to an end. Throughout there are stories of country life, Steeplechase racing, hunting and local characters. Signed by author.
