The original tan wrappers and 6 pages are bound in. From the collection of Henry Vignaud with his bookplate affixed. A well known US Consul in Paris for 34 years who was a scholar and collector of historic explorations and discoveries. Vignaud built a fine 50,000 library of Americana and gained an international reputation as an historian for his work on Columbus. An additional bookplate was removed at some point.
