Age-dulled marbled boards which now rubbed and mainly brown-hued and can see print underneath (must have used a old piece of text underneath marbling?) Inner front hinge split but holding. Worn spine which now a dulled blueish hue with rubbed and illegible title plate. Heavily worn to boards' corners and spine-ends and boards' edges. Browning to page-edges, some marks to endpapers (both sets - mostly light brown staining/spotting to early and late pages o/w pages clean and tidy.

Small half-leather hardcover with green-gray spine with gilt lettering; marbled boards; 232 pages; 7 b&w plates at end; 1812 on title page is the only date. Good plus condition: mild wear and a little scuffing to binding; straight; hinges cracked inside but holding very well; old bookplate of one Thomas Buchanan Esq., Powis; pages are quite nice albeit not perfect. Size: 24mo - over 5 - 5¾" tall. Book.

Red cloth binding with blind stamped decoration to front and rear board and gilt decorated spine with gilt titling. The boards are rubbed and faded with some soiling. The hinges have parted and left the text block loose. The text block is tight, foxing throughout, Many of the pages are uncut.

Spine repaired at some stage with 1 cm loss (see 5th image). Arranged in seven subject headings (Astronomy, Mechanics, Hydrostatics.etc.See images 2, 3 etc).
