Pencil inscription and stain to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Very slight crushing to spine ends.

He spent much of his career in the London County Council's architects' department. He was a long-term active member of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, from 1898 onwards.
