Based on Jules Verne's 1873 novel, about two English gentlemen who make a high-stakes bet that, using new modes of transportation, they can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days. Shot on location in England, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and Yugoslavia. Self wrappers. Missing title page. Xerographic duplication on blue stock rectos only, with yellow, tan, and pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between 6/7/88 and 7/8/88. Pages Very Good, lightly dampstained throughout, with first and last leaves detached from the binding, bound with two gold brads.

In short, he began is aviation career in 1938 as a baggage handler, ticket agent, and dispatch clerk for Trans-World Airlines but would become familiar with the air as a Naval air transport pilot during WWII. After the war, Wagner flew as a commercial pilot from 1951 until November, 30, 1962 when a DC-7 airliner of which he as copilot failed a go-around attempt after an aborted airline and crashed, killing Jules Wagner and 25 of the 51 occupants on board.This portfolio was published at the behest of his wife, Ruth A.
