La lettre est datee de Paris, le 11 avril 1892. Redigee a l'encre noire sur un feuillet de papier verge filigrane, ecrit sur deux pages. Signature autographe suivie de la mention autographe « chevalier de la legion d'honneur » et de l'adresse « 5 rue de Verneuil ». Dans cette lettre adressee a un Inspecteur General de l'Instruction publique non identifie, Juliette Dodu remercie son correspondant d'avoir permis la nomination d'une certaine Madame Guillanet dans une ecole maternelle, et evoque le souvenir laisse par son passage dans la ville concernee. Le document se rattache au second parcours de Juliette Dodu, inspectrice des ecoles et salles d'asile de 1880 a 1885, et temoigne de son entremise dans les milieux de l'enseignement primaire sept ans apres la suppression de son poste.
