Tipped in frontispiece and line drawings in text. 8vo. Covers are worn, rubbed at edges and rounding on corners. Internally there's a little, occasional foxing throughout and one leaf with a creased corner. A collection of short snippets of humours stories and legends regarding Aberdeen, the Granite City. According to the foreword in the book, the snippets were mostly collected from the annals of a society established to help Aberdonians tell stories against themselves, an exercise they found entertaining because their English neighbours were gullible enough to believe them.
