Printed publication by François Adriaen van der Kemp (pseud. Junius Batavus) to Pieter Jan Marcus, former mayor of Leiden. Published in response to the pamphlet written by mr. P.J. Marcus, who, dissatisfied with the course of events in Leiden since 1787, resigned from his position in after having served 31 long years.
