It argues that overpopulation was the root cause of many of society's ills, including poverty, crime, and misery. The author proposes education, particularly for women, as the solution to overpopulation. As women were responsible for rearing children and had a significant influence on their character, the author thought educating them would promote wiser decision-making about family planning. This book is a valuable historical document that provides insights into the social and economic challenges of 19th-century England, offering a unique perspective on the role of women's education in addressing societal problems. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

A very scarce and mysterious poem written by the anonymous Junius Redivivus, calling the British to rally against the Kaiser during the First World War. A very scarce poem on Britain and the First World War, written by the mysterious Junius Redivivus. Published by the Cornish Brothers, the publishers for Birmingham University, in 1915.In the publisher's original paper wraps. The exact nature of who wrote the poem is largely unknown, yet they did write a satire on the First World War, The Holy War, the same year. Junius Redivivus (Junius reborn) was previously used by William Bridges Adams when advocating for political reform, who was inspired by the anonymous Junius who wrote letters for political reform centuries earlier. This particular work, written in microform, is a rousing poem aimed to rally the British to defeat the Kaiser and his forces. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, mostly smart, with a small crease to front wrap. Rear wrap is missing. Slight browning to the extremities of the front wrap, and a small closed tear to the right edge. End paper is clean. Internally, binding is delicate, with a loose final leaf and leaf pp.3-4 loosening from hinge. A small closed tear to left edge of first leaf. Pages are bright and clean. Good. book.
