Four colour postcards with original wrapper, 14 x 10cm, very good. This set of four postcards, complete with its original envelope, commemorates the fleet review held in 1919 following the end of World War I. During the war, Japan, as an ally of the Allied countries, deployed its naval fleet to the Pacific and the Mediterranean…Sea. One of the postcards features a map illustrating the sailing route of the Japanese Navy during the conflict. The Japanese Navy achieved notable successes during the war, including the capture of several German submarines and other warships. The fleet review, conducted off Yokosuka, celebrated these accomplishments. The set includes photographic illustrations of four captured German submarines, showcasing the Japanese Navy's achievements.
