Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Good. Incomplete surviving portion of this scarce Victorian visitor-list publication for Bridlington Quay. Single folded sheet, approximately 28.4 × 22.5 cm. Contents include tide tables, church and chapel notices, local information, poetry, advertisements, and extensive lists of visitors staying at Bridlington Quay and Bridlington, arranged by street and lodging house. The issue provides a fascinating snapshot of early Victorian seaside tourism and records visitors from numerous towns and cities including York, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Doncaster, Beverley, Lincoln and Nottingham. Bridlington Quay developed during the nineteenth century into one of Yorkshire's most popular seaside resorts, and publications such as Keddys' List of Visitors were produced to serve the growing seasonal population. Intended for temporary use and generally discarded, such local resort ephemera survives only rarely. Condition: Good only. Incomplete, preserving two pages only. Folded, with edge wear, small losses, creasing, age-toning and scattered staining. Old sellotape reinforcement to verso. Nevertheless an interesting and uncommon piece of Yorkshire seaside and local-history ephemera.
