Cloth. Condition: Good +. First Edition. viii, 390 p. 19 cm. Light brown cloth, stamped in gilt on cover and spine. General wear with rubbing and soiling to boards. Two ink gift inscriptions (1890) from a mother to her son are on the two front blank leaves. Crack or crease on front pastedown. Speckling to top edge of text block. "The cardinal principles of the faith are set forth, and those usually assailed by opponents are discussed at length. It is definitive, aggressive, and defensive" -- from the author's Preface. The author was a Mormon elder.
