Munn Jan. 1911"; pp. xliv, 371 pp; b/w frontispiece, with tissue guard, of a stone curlew by G. E. Lodge, 13 further b/w plates, of which 10 after photographs by Mr Smith Whiting, and 3 after paintings by Lodge (Cirl Bunting, Peregrine Falcon, and Tufted Duck) all in accordance with the list of plates; large coloured fold-out map. Very good in publisher's original blue cloth binding with gilt lettering, a little rubbed and worn, spine slightly darker. Contents clean and tight, original dark brown end papers, minimal spotting, a few pages slightly scruffy at fore-edge where hurriedly opened. Provenance: with the attractive engraved bookplate of the The Library of the Royal Societies Club. A very good signed copy. Size: 8vo (22.5 x 15 cm). Signed by Author(s). Book.
