Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Published in London For Restricted Circulation Only By Ernest Benn Limited, Bouverie House, Fleet Street, 1926. 'Of The Derivation of Some Kakiemon Designs on Porcelain, 100 copies have been printed'. This is No. 89. 28 pages including six illustrated with B&W plates. There's an errata slip attached between pages 16 and 17. A three page preface written by the author, Kenneth Dingwall and then his text which is an adaptation from a 'Paper read before the Oriental Ceramic Society on 23rd January 1924. Good Condition. This extremely rare book(one other for sale) is, like most of us, imperfect. Unlike most of us it has a couple of small holes at its gutter. Holes that a (fear not) long-dead insect clearly indifferent to Japanese enamel ceramics bored (sorry). The good news is that he was a quitter. Only 3 pages and Not the covers are involved (see photos, nothing shall be hidden). Also good news, as rare as this book is so shall my discount be. And happily the book is solidly bound and the interior pages are in very good shape, with No marks, No soiling, No underlining or writing (except for a 100 at the top of the FFEP). The margins of some pages have light areas of foxing but not the six pages of illustrations with the plates. The gilt writing on the spine looks good, however threading has come through the cover and is visible (see photos). There are also areas/spots of soiling on the covers (photos again).
