All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition book. Notable dust and a little wear to the outer covers, and the ribbons are crumpled. As a reference library copy this book has been handled much less than a normal library book and so the contents are in stellar condition, with clean, bright and unfaded contents. The binding is sturdy and decent. A lovely copy.

Internally, half title, [8], (ix-xxx), [1], [1], [4], 5-51 pp, [3], 55-60 Daniel Press history, 61-63, [1] Press Publications, [1] limitation, an edition limited to 450 copies, faint inch crack to top head joint, top edge cut, remainder not. First published in 1881 by the Daniel Press. The poem, a set of 4 line stanzas by Carroll is followed by a Latin metrical version of the same poem by Sir Richard Harrington. (210*128 mm). (Madan p113, 147/121. Sidney Herbert Williams p119 for 1st ed). A first version of the anthology had been printed privately in 1881 for Rachel's birth; the 1902 edition marks a refined, expanded, and typographically mature reissue, characteristic of the Daniel Press's final period.
