    8vo. 454, (2) pp. Including the woodcut frontispiece. Contemporary giltstamped (oxydized) calf over wooden boards. A narrow edition of the Danish psalm book by the bishop Thomas Hansen Kingo (1634-1703), whose hymn-writing marks a climax in baroque spiritual poetry in Denmark. The first half of the volume includes psalms for the whole Christian year, while the second one features texts from the New Testament and has a separate title-page, the pagination remaining continous: "Collecter, Epistler og Evangelier paa det ganske Aars Son- og Helligedage, med Jesu Christi Lidelseshistorie [.]". - Contemporary ownership to recto of frontispiece ("Svend Andreas Helsingjer Böe"). Contemporary note in Danish to lower pastedown. Pages of Horace's breve used as pastedowns. - Binding worn, spine ends chipped. Wants the clasps and front flyleaf. First few pages somewhat brownstained and slightly wormed at the upper margins (no loss of text). Tiny holes due to corrosion caused by the clasps' remnants.
