He fished for trout primarily and hunted grouse, woodcock duck, quail, and rail, as well as shooting coon. Book is in VG condition with bump to tail of spine, internally clean. The uncommon jacket is in good condition with some minor edge chipping and soiling to back panel. Still an attractive copy of an uncommon book as the OCLC locates only the copy at the University of New Hampshire.

"I stood at the head of the pool, and without moving took out sixteen trout on a Parmachenee Belle fly, just as fast as I could take them off the hook. They were coming so fast, I lost all count of how many I had caught, and not wishing to run over the limit then of twenty-five, I waded ashore to count them.and found that I had twenty-one trout". Very good in very good wrapper.

First edition, stated, of this very scarce artist's book, presented by the Drachen Foundation to promote and increase the knowledge and appreciate of Japanese kites, and kitemaking techniques. Murosako is well-known within the kite community for her beautiful kites using bamboo and varieties of handmade papers, made into startling paper shapes, often with insect wing, bettle shell, or vegetable motifs. No copies located in Worldcat.
