NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. 1990. First Edition. This unusual book consists of 2 pull out, accordion-fold photos on card stock that unfold nearly 10 feet in length, with 11 pages of historical background text by Peter Bacon Hales and others. One photo is a reproduction of a 360 degree panorama of the city of San Francisco from a vantage point on Nob Hill, taken by Eadweard Muybridge in 1878. On the other side is a panorama, by Mark Klett, of the same view in 1990. Each photo is 12 inches high and unfolds to nearly 10 feet in length. Everything lays neatly in a unique binding developed by master binder, Fusaichi Sekine of Japan. The photos look great stretched out across a wall. Laid-in is a June 1997 report that Muybridge's Panorama of San Francisco, an 1877 album of 11 albumen silver prints, sold for $8,625 at auction. Bound in the original gray pictorial laminated boards, lettered in white. Oversize Hardcover. 9.75" wide by 12.25" tall. This large book may require extra postage for international shipments, but only the standard charge for priority or media mail. First Edition. Oversize Hardcover.
