kein Einband. Condition: Sehr gut. [6] Bl. 6-blättriges Leporello: ein Titel und 5 Blatt mit Umrisszeichnungen und Maßen von Bildern nebeneinander. Ohne Jahr, ohne Ortsangabe, vermutlich zwischen 1968 und 1975. In seiner frühen Schaffensphase verweigerte Knoebel die klassische Malerei komplett, um stattdessen die absoluten Grundbedingungen des Bildes zu untersuchen: Trägermaterial, Proportion, Rahmen und Raum. Das vorliegende Leporello ist die konsequente Umsetzung dieser konzeptuellen Herangehensweise. Anstatt ein Motiv abzubilden, reduziert es das Bild auf seine reinen physikalischen Parameter und dokumentiert die nackte räumliche Struktur. Die darin enthaltenen Umrisszeichnungen und exakt notierten Rahmenmaße fungieren dabei als bloße Baupläne. Die eigentliche Kunst findet im Kopf des Betrachters oder durch die evozierte physische Leere der Keilrahmen statt. Dieser analytische Ansatz liegt bereits Knoebels berühmtem Frühwerk Raum 19 (1968) zugrunde, das bezeichnenderweise aus einem gewaltigen Lagerbestand an unbemalten Keilrahmen und Hartfaserplatten bestand.
