Hardback small octavo, no jacket, good condition, blue cloth cover (gilt embossed design front cover & spine), full-page drawings (woodcuts), duplicate (extra-illustrated) title page, frontispiece drawing (with tissue guard), single-colour maps at rear, recased (new grey endpapers), pages toned, minor foxing (but notable first &… last page), minor edgewear. 263 pp. A narrative written from letters sent by Teodor Knos (Knoes) when he travelled throughout New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria in 1873. Written in the Swedish language (title translates as: Pictures from Life in Australia: Travelogues: With Illustrations and Maps). Beautiful gilt front cover design of Aborigine with spear, kangaroo, emu and platypus surrounded by vegetation. (Repaired copy with new endpapers.).
