Brusewitz utförde bl. a. diplomen för Nobelpriset i litteratur 1963-1988 och flera frimärken, men var även en framstående och mycket uppskattad bokkonstnär. Han illustrerade dels sina många egna böcker, ofta på temat djur och natur, dels verk av bl. a. Carl von Linné och Frans G. Bengtsson.
