Hardcover. Condition: Good. Sharon Koester (illustrator). This copy in the Little Golden Book series has held up quite well. And it's one of the harder-to-find titles, hence the price. Originally cost one silver quarter. The author was the wife of the major children's book author and illustrator Richard Scarry. They collaborated on some LGBs, but not this one.

The Cardboard Little Red Riding Hood & Wolf Paper Dolls have been cut out & are included. Some Clothing & Accessories Included that were cut-out by a Child. Tight hardcover in good condition. 8vo. Multicolor full-page illustration of Little Red Riding Hood wearing her red cloak and hood carrying a basket of cookies for her sick grandmother on the front board. Color illustrations throughout text. "This Little Golden Book belongs to" section has a name written in ink by a child as well as remnants of a sticker. Book is very tight. The front board has some light soiling, wear, & edgewear with bumped corners. The back board has some wear/scuffing and edgewear with bumped corners. The foil backstrip is very bright with edgewear on the top & bottom. The previous owner's parent taped an envelope inside the back board to hold the paper dolls & clothing. The Little Red Riding Hood & Wolf paper dolls have no creasing, but have a little wear. The story pages have no markings - they are lightly age discolored. Ships within 24 hours.
