Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. Translated from the Japanese by Robert S. Ozaki. "For the Western reader, this book (translated from the original 'Sengo Nihon no Keizai Seicho') has several merits. No other recent book in English affords a better overview of postwar growth in Japan, especially in its financial aspects. Moreover, it offers economists considerable theoretical controversy and empirical testing on numerous issues of contemporary interest. Furthermore, it discusses Japanese government policies respecting growth and stabilization in a careful, critical fashion that should interest policy-oriented officials and students." Part I. Public Finance and Monetary Policy. Part II. The Balance of Payments. Part III. Income Distribution and Savings. Part IV. Business Fluctuations and Stabilization Policy. Part V. Management. 69 Tables and 18 Figures. 260 pages. Price-clipped. Former owner's inkstamped name on front endpaper. *NOTE: Additional shipping will be required for out-of-U.S. shipment! GB2.
