One of the most important interwar art journals, Taie continued to introduce the latest art experiments in Estonia as well as the more traditional work to Estonian readers. It was truly international in scope, with a broader outreach than previous journals which emphasized Estonian work almost exclusively. It also explored traditional Estonian crafts and folk art and visual heritage as well as Western European art history. Many of the artists contributed essays and statements in addition to presenting their work. There is a very fine survey of the Latvian avant-garde and modernism; Western Europe primarily is represented by France, both traditional and contemporary. Estonian contemporary architecture is also featured along with building developments in Finland. The journal is well illustrated. Especially interesting as a document of the continuing Estonian Constructivism which persisted up to 1940, unlike its neighbors. This example with the original cover of the first issue (all the other numbers had exactly the same cover). Two library holdings found worldwide. (Princeton. British Museum).

März 1890 , Dorf Annikoru , Gemeinde Konguta , Kreis Tartu 7. März 1942 , Region Gorki , Gefangenenlager Unzlag , Russland ) war ein estnischer Lederkünstler , Industrieller und der Begründer der modernen estnischen Lederverarbeitung. Taska war einer der Gründer des Estnischen Verbandes Angewandter Künstler (RaKÜ) und von 1933 bis 1935 dessen Vorsitzender. Zwischen 1919 und 1940 unternahm er mehrere Reisen in europäische Länder. Taskas Werke fanden Beachtung auf ausländischen Ausstellungen in Österreich ( Wien ), Frankreich ( Paris ), Polen und Belgien PG-O96 Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 530.

Ein Beiheft (4 Bll., mit den Bildunterschriften in englischer, deutscher und französischer Sprache liegt bei. *Seltener und umfangreicher fotografischer Überblick über die moderne estnische Architektur während der kurzen Unabhängigkeit des Landes nach 1918. Die Sammlung enthält u.a. das Volkshaus in Tallinn-Kopli, die Rauaniidi-Fabrik (die heutige Kunstakademie) in Tallinn und das Gymnasium in Rakvere. - Einband etwas fleckig und mit Feuchtigkeitsrand auf dem Hinterdeckel. Besitzerstempel "Arbeitsamt Reval" aus der Zeit des Reichskommissariats Ostland auf dem Vorsatzblatt, mit handschriftlichen Eintragungen zum deutschen Einmarsch 1942.
