Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with unclipped dust jacket that still shows the original price of $3.50 on the front flap. Signed and dated by the author with a generic inscription "With all good wishes, Theodore F. Koop Washington DC December 20, 1946. The dust jacket is heavily worn with scuffing, creases, and numerous tears and chips along the edges and corners. The red cloth boards underneath are in very good condition, although there is some faint spotting and loss to the finish on the rear board, mainly at the lower section where you can see a bit of the red on the back of the dust jacket. The reason for the lower condition grade of just good is because the front end page and half title page both have the lower outside corner torn out, if it was not for this issue the book would grade as VG. There is a small piece of silver tape that, at one time attached the front and rear flaps of the DJ to the pastedowns. The tape has been cut so the jacket could be removed, but the pieces are still present as seen in the photos. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No other handwriting other than the author's, no library markings etc. Signed by Author(s).
