Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. Small [ 5X 8 inches ], leather back strip and faded marbled paper over boards, top of spine probably repaired, 273 pages; this is the second revised and enlarged edition (the first was in1 800); the frontispiece to page 247 was printed on remanufactured faded yellow paper; from 247 to 258 the paper does not appear to have once been yellow and the appendix (pp. 259-273) is printed on paper made from wood pulp, two blanks front one at back; top if first end paper [the first blank] has a small piece missing from the upper outside corner, a rough triangle about 1 ½ X 2 inches.
