It attracts researchers globally, particularly from Central and Eastern Europe, aiming to foster collaboration among NLP researchers with diverse interests. This volume presents the proceedings from the Ninth TSD Conference, held in Brno, Czech Republic, in September 2006. Following a rigorous review process, 87 papers were accepted from a record 175 submissions, yielding an acceptance rate of 49.7%.
