Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Silver card cover stock with titles & decoration in blue; 4to; 62pp; illustrated with b&w photos. Compiled and edited by Philip Beguhl and Rick Edmisten. The story of an automotive machinist who (during the Great Depression), gave up his occupation to concentrate on building big game fishing reels. His reels were used by many noted anglers of the day, including R.L. Sutton and Zane Grey. Along with his son, Oscar, they turned out fine specimens that are coveted by collectors today. Most models are pictured with pertinent information given. This copy is lightly chipped along front cover edge o/w in near fine condition and signed by both compilers and Oscar Kovalovsky. An uncommon item as the OCLC locates but 2 copies. Signed by Author(s).
