From the library of noted photography collector and dealer Terry Etherton. Alvin Booth [b. 1959] is an English-born photographer. His Osmosis images are deliberately more abstract, diffuse, and otherworldly than his previous works. The human form is reduced to its bare lines, and like a delicate gouache the body dissolves into the paper. The exquisite tones of the images and the graceful, ghostly figures are suggestive of 19th-century photography, reflecting Booth's old-world techniques and approach to the craft. Galerie Vevais is an independent German fine-art photography publisher based in Bliesdorf, Brandenburg, Germany. Founded by editor Alexander Scholz, it is highly regarded for producing premium, limited-edition art books, monographs, and the renowned "WERKDRUCK" series. Known for collaborating with acclaimed artists, including Jock Sturges, Beth Moon, and Masao Yamamoto, Galerie Vevais prioritizes traditional craftsmanship. Their publications frequently feature handmade artist-designed cases, museum-quality printing, and hand-binding techniques. Booth, Alvin (illustrator). Signed by Illustrator(s).
