A brief typed letter from Frederick E. Kratter, Acting Superintendent of The Caswell Training School ("State School for Exceptional Children"), to noted American psychologist Henry Guze. The letter is Krattner's response to a request for an offprint titled "Sex Education of Retarded Children," first published in the *American Journal of Mental Deficiency* in 1957, which Krattner promises to send along when they become available. According to a University of Vermont study of American eugenics, The Caswell Training School "drew its residents from the most impoverished and socially isolated sections of the white North Carolina population," and in the mid-1950's, sterilized about 50 people a year. In 1955, there were 11 teachers and one psychologist for a resident population of 1,800.
