Questo studio ci ha permesso di elencare i casi di deficit di fattore XIII nel sud della Tunisia e di… valutarne gli aspetti epidemiologici, diagnostici e terapeutici. Il nostro studio è retrospettivo, copre un periodo di 20 anni e comprende 30 pazienti. Tutti i pazienti sono stati sottoposti a un test standard dell'emostasi e a un dosaggio del fattore XIII. Il rapporto tra i sessi è stato di 0,67. La maggior parte dei pazienti proveniva da Sidi, in Tunisia. La maggior parte dei pazienti proveniva da Sidi Bouzid. L'età media di insorgenza dei sintomi era di 1,4 anni. L'età media alla diagnosi era di 8,8 anni. 26 pazienti sono stati diagnosticati in seguito a una sindrome emorragica e 4 in seguito a un'indagine familiare. Tutti avevano livelli di fattore XIII nulli, misurati con la tecnica della solubilità del coagulo. Tutti i pazienti hanno ricevuto una terapia sostitutiva con plasma fresco congelato. La maggior parte dei casi proveniva da matrimoni consanguinei.Pertanto, le indagini familiari sono interessanti per ottenere un migliore profilo epidemiologico e molecolare.
