[3], 4-188, [2]; [3], 4-214 pp. Quarter contemporary sheep over tree calf, spine in six compartments, a red leather label lettered in gold on the spine. With two blue silk-ribbon bookmarks bound in. Illustrated with two engraved title pages…, one for each volume (copper engraving). A collection of short stories in German, this work is difficult to find in commerce, and is uncommon in institutions. The crown and foot of the spine worn. A bookplate and a few small pencil notes on the pastedowns, some foxing and toning to the leaves.
