An early map of Mount Vernon, with over 400 lots delineated. Manuscript markings at right side. Backed with linen, some creasing and light soiling. Trimmed close to borders. Shows the area adjoining the Bronx River in western Mount Vernon, just south of the current location of the Fleetwood train station. This is one of a spate of maps which were published in the early 1850's as Mount Vernon was being developed. Hufeland 1218.
