Das Märchen von dem kleinen Jacob, den man "bequem in ein Cigarrenfutteral stecken" kann, und der abenteuerliche Reisen durchleben muß, um das Land und die Familie, aus der er entführt worden war, zu finden, ist von Geißler sehr einfallsreich, geradezu "phantastisch" (E. Semrau, in LKJ IV, S. 216) illustriert. Das perfekte Kolorit vervollständigt den Eindruck eines besonders gut illustrierten Bandes. Ganz wenig gebräunt.
