Robert Kutner, "als Sohn eines Arztes am 11.April 1867 in Ückermünde (Pommern) geboren, studierte in Berlin, Kiel und Freiburg und promovierte 1890 in Berlin. Er war lange Zeit bei den Urologen NITZE, Berlin, DITTEL, Wien, GYON, Paris, tätig und ließ sich 1892 in Berlin als Urologe nieder. Kutner erwarb sich namentlich um die urologisches Asepsis Verdienste, machte die ersten photographischen Aufnahmen des Inneren einer Körperhöhle und stellte als erster die Kinematographie in den Dienst des ärztlichen Unterrichts. Sehr verdient macht er sich um das ärztliche Fortbildungswesen, das Kaiserin-Friedlich-Haus in Berlin verdankt seiner Initiative die Entstehung. Er war auch Gründer und Redakteur der "Zeitschrift für ärztliche Fortbildung". Am 5.Oktober starb Kutner in Berlin."
