Cloth covered thick boards with colorful Olympic rings and title embossed into front cover; 55+ pages of German text and 100 numbered stereoscopic photographic prints by Heinrich Hoffmann of the 1936 Olympic Games; each measuring 5 x 2 1/4 inches; 22 of the stereoscopic prints are attached to the pages as issued and 78 are loose in pockets on the inside rear cover; the inside front cover contains the original stereoscopic viewing device in an inset pocket. Condition of the prints and the stereoscope are fine; condition of the book is very good except due to the weight of the pages; they are becoming loose from the binding; still attached but tender; the outside covers are browned along the edges, especially at the spine and the spine is worn at edges including a few splits at spine edges. Although due to the construction of this book, including the weighty viewer and prints, the book has survived quite well and is very presentable. The book is housed in a sturdy clamshell box with gilt title on spine. Foreign shipping may be extra.
